Description
The PiEPS DSP Smart Transmitter and Receiver (Transceiver) with Firmware Release 6.2 is the newest generation avalanche beacon with industry leading technology, design and ease of use. No other avalanche beacon is more accurate, reliable or easier to use. In addition, PiEPS beacons are fully upgradeable with each new version release.
PiEPS DSP Advanced also comes equipped with: Temperature Display, Compass, Bearing Compass and Altimeter.
If you own an older generation PiEPS beacon and wish to upgrade to the latest firmware version, please contact Liberty Mountain at 1-800-366-2666. There is a nominal fee for shipping and handling. The fee includes a full diagnostic check of your beacon.
Features- iPROBE Support: The DSP now can be temporarily deactivated by the iPROBE, allowing the searcher to focus on the next strongest signal! PiEPS now provides the first fully integrated beacon and probe safety solution for multiple avalanche burials.
- Frequency Measurement: This function allows you to measure the frequency deviation (from the standardized 457kHz) of any other beacon on the market.
- Old Beacon Mode: Most older analogue beacons transmit a continuous carrier (background noise) which can result in an inaccurate victim count. The PiEPS beacon will alert you when the victim count may be inaccurate.
